found
I found this little vase in Philip Island some weeks ago. Nothing grand but I think it's a little spesh - It has a lovely texture to it - not sure if their leaves or feathers.

the weekend
via home life
A crisp morning walk; Archie admits defeat and figures he's out numbered against cyclists. Strangers smiling warmly, it's quite the cute community. Saturday night low key drinks catching up with friends..
Sunday I mulled around the local - found a great grocer. We had my brothers over for dinner. JD made Jamie's delicious spicy wild mushroom pasta.
Still in search for the perfect sofa. I'm loving this one (borderline Franco Gozzo - sorry Melbourne joke) but I love it's buttery colour - Although perhaps not quite right for us..

weekend randomness
The weekend was very random. a civalised work gathering ended up at a vodka bar and dancing to the wee hours. Mum visited today and found me in a lazy state and in contrast JD was being all handy looking rather impressive drilling this and fixing that round the house.
We walked Archie to the beach. Seriously that dog is impossible, he went at the other much bigger dogs and just could not cope with the cyclists.
I'll try my first attempt at coq au vin tonight and to add to the randomness I'm making lemon slice - just because..
Hope you had a nice weekend.

all my loving
via design sponge
Apologies for the lack of posts, the absence has made my heart grow fonder. So many lame excuses; it has been really frantic at work... I've been feeling pretty cruddy with a cold. Alas must soldier on!
Umm so hello beautiful home!! I've declared for my love for drift wood timber floating shelves before but this could actually work in my lounge room - they make ugly speakers look not so hideous. Beautiful arrangements every where.

sails away
I came across this vintage oil painting in a inner city op-shop. It had a $90 price tag on it - Was it worth it? I am yet to decide.. So I kept walking and left it behind. Should I go back?
This was the most expensive op shop I have been to, given it's location, they knew the market rates; art deco drink trolleys for $300, vintage Bentwoods $80. Better that it goes to charity then dealers to on sell I suppose.
I took this photo with my crappy 3 year old nokia phone - I am perhaps the only person I know without an iphone.. it didn't turn out so bad.

comma: daylesford
Another Daylesford holiday rental to envy.
Light filled and beautiful details - I adore the blackboard town map, clean modern lines, antique pieces and collectables.
where have i been..
Actually nowhere special..
Sorry I lie, I did go to Phillip Island last weekend, which has become the annual thing now. I found some additional dust collectors and have yet to give them a nicer home but rather plonking them on the bookcase with not much love. I'll get on to that now and maybe follow up with some snaps if it turns out semi decent. But doubtful, sad grey skies won't really help.
Apologies for lack of posts - will update more lovely images and do some back blogging - is that the correct terminology? Perhaps I just made that up..
Image source unknown, if you do please let me know.
