inspired by..

Some bits and pieces for the lounge room; a new light and some cushions which had followed me home some months ago but only recently got round to snapping some pics to share.

A some what productive weekend... JD spent most of today in the garden weeding, mowing and planting the ornamental pear trees his parents had given us. I started painting the spare room, which up until now had become the forgotten room - you know the corner or room that becomes the dump and deal with it later room. I painted over the bottom blue half of the previous owners yellow & blue coastal paint job. Eeeek! 3 more walls and 2 more coats...

hello there

Sorry for the lack of posts.
I am at a crossroads with blogging, so bare with me if posts become irregular until I decide what to do.. As lately I'm struggling to find the time to put a bit more love and thought into the content and my lack of effort is making me feel "meh" about it all. I'm still reading and continually in awe by such amazing and talented people out there but applying it to my real world is another thing and sharing it on my own blog is yet another...
I've got a head cold at the moment so maybe the feeling will past.. but thank you for sticking around.

On a chirpier note - I am in love with this yellow reading chair. It's color and simple shape works beautifully with the button detail. Yes, cute as a button!

bedroom love...

Arabella Ramsey's bedroom featured InStyle Magazine is going in my ideas bank. I have a ridiculously high stack of magazines on my bedside table and am at serious risk being buried in them. Hmm, wish I could see more of that patchwork quilt.

interior love : Fjall

I have never been fond of skiing - I've only been once and once was enough for me to know that I lack the athletic grace required.
However if I were ever to reconsider I would want to be staying at Fjall (swedish for Mountain) in Victoria's Falls Creek.
Designed by Hecker Phelan Guthrie & Salter Architects, yes, I can imagine myself curled up comfortably on those sofas gazing over the snow capped views of the mountains enjoying the beautiful modern Scandinavian decor.
More lovely images here.

last night

I saw Florence & the Machine with a not so new friend - it was my first individual outing with a friends girlfriend. She's such a sweetheart, it was really nice to catch up and talk outside the usual group environment.
Florence was incredible - her energy and voice was so captivating.
