a floral table

via lolita

My weekend consisted of completing half finished jobs around the flat.. Or re-doing hastily done projects of the past. Some have been on the to do list ever since we first moved in 8 years ago. Terribly slack. Oh well better late than never..

coveting chairs

I love the industrial look of vintage school chairs or Tolix chairs - the white or gunmetal and if I were game enough bright yellow. Also tugging my heart strings is the fresh crisp clean look of white Eames but then you can't got wrong with beautiful bentwoods...

magazines magazines

I am a massive magazine hoarder. It actually pains me to tear out pages. I only resort to it when the they become really dated, like 6 years old. Sad, I know.

How do you store yours? Hidden away? In magazine holders? Or stacked in piles like this?
Hmm, I'm beginning to think that the stacked up look only looks effective when you have white painted floors...

interior love

Once a carpenters workshop, now a converted warehouse home. Such generous light filled windows, and a wonderful mix of reclaimed furniture. More lovely images here.

subtle green

I adore this collection of ceramic vases used create these centre pieces. I think the greens look so beautiful amongst the white and greys. Calm indeed.

market day: could this be love... ?

Valentines, shmellentines!
Yes, I am one of those people. Not into it, but not against it. I spent today at the Camberwell market for some self lovin' and treated myself to some nice vintage wardrobe pieces and a beautiful bunch of sunflowers.

How divine are the drafting drawers? Some how I can't justify having it just for housing my wrapping paper and ribbons.

I did buy this art deco dresser for my sister. It was only $75. It's very solid and the are drawers nice a deep and pull out smoothly. This is what one does when your home is filled to the brim with furniture, you can't help but scourer things for family and friends. Share the love!

light bright and airy

What beautiful spot to laze about on a sunny afternoon... Perhaps, sneak in a little light snooze.

Melbourne's on going hot hot weather calls for some pretty alfresco dining. Now, how to replicate this sweet setting on my teeny tiny balcony..?

the weekend

Hello, to the new visitors of my blog.
I'm really chuffed that you've stopped by. Kind of feeling a little stage fright :) but hope you continue enjoy the inspiring things that I stumble up on.

The surprise party was a success. He had no idea. He walked into the house carrying grocery bags, bitching about the neighbors (the party guests) taking up the car parks in the street. Funny grumpy old man.

It was nice to catch up with JD's extended family. Inundated with the usual "when are you getting married?" and "when are you having babies?" standard q & a.

But I do adore this chaotic and beautiful family that has become apart of my life and feel equally honored to share theirs.

Hope you had a superb weekend.

rolling out of bed

Lots on for today.
JD's family are throwing his dad a surprise 60th party.
Need to bake. Get my hair cut. Pick up food. Pick up the marquee. Get off the internet!

Wishing you an awesome weekend!
