Not a baby shower luncheon

My pimped up balloons from my this is not "a baby shower" luncheon.I truly felt special and spoilt with wonderful company and couldn't think of a more perfect way to spend one of my few pre-baby Sundays (Yikes!) with all the lovely ladies in my life. A massive thank you to those who shared it with me. And to those who had a great part in putting in on.

Hello again...

So I was hoping to slip quietly back into blogging..

But i have yet to decide what this space is to become..

Never intended to be a personal blog or to promote any thing as such. Perhaps just to share my creative inspirations and occassional ranting over the beautiful. I spose I can only see how it evolves.. if it does evolve.

We welcomed our little girl into the world 10 days ago on the 18th of September, 4 days before her due date. In her short time with us she is brought such amazing joy and love to our little family. This will never be a mama's blog but perhaps I can share the little things that bring joy to our changing life.

I made this vertical garden of succulents with the brown vitamin bottles I collected whilst pregnant with little Miss. I strung them together 2 days before little R was born. It reminds me of the 9 months of her growing in my belly as I walk pass them in the our hall.. Xx

So it appears, everyone is having babies this year.. this little clan included!

This baby is set to join the September birthday club with it's mama and papa, so it'll be an even busier month!

I am 25 weeks. Although these pics were taken 5 weeks ago.. I've finished the baby blanket but I can't take credit for the hat & booties, they were a gift from JD's folks (don't be fooled by the blue, we've decided to not to find out). I've been 'pinning' some craft projects, and in this long weekend I'll get started on something new, the bundles of fabric are really starting to mount up!

I'm thinking now that the chillier winter months are settling in, this neglected blog may get some much needed attention..

Hope you had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! Hope the holiday break has been blissfully relaxing as it's been for me (perhaps a little too much).

So many bits of have followed me home over the year but to be honest I have been too lazy to photograph - That, I will work better on this year..

First up the bedroom. I'm still in love the chevron print, the bed linen is from Aura. My lovely self sacrificing friend found this mid century bedside at an op shop and messaged me a pic ( yes, I have spotters all over Melbourne) only $40! Amazing how many magazines it can hold and yet never enough..

Enjoy the weekend, this is my last one before heading back to work on Monday.

I scored these kelim cushions (sort of free) with a rug purchase..

We needed a new hallway runner and sadly as the Loom ones are some what out of my budget, who else to turn to but my trusty friend ebay.. I am sure the seller thought he was off loading his dodgey left overs but I love the vibrant pinks & orange. Winner!

I won't lie, Pinterest has been fulfilling my quick superficial needs for pretty visuals & interiors oggling. Simple & no words required. Sorry, life has been beckoning for more care and attention...

The long over due fitness routine has slowly kicked in. Autonomously is preferred, but with a shabby track record, I'll go with this group thing for now.. even though the instructors are a little bit psycho.. I suppose that's the point.

I'm reading - yes, an actual book (a first in a long time) thank you Mr Tim Winton for capturing my easily distracted mind.

I've joined the 20th century & succumb to an iphone by default, so who knows lazy iphone snaps may propped up..

I watched happy thank you more please, if you are in need of an easy, nice, feel good movie, I certainly recommend.

JD and I took a train trip, getting on and off at the neighbouring suburbs only stops apart. The beauty of travelling overseas was being on transport and foot, stumbling across those random independent little stores, cafes you wouldn't normally read or hear about. We moved to beach side suburb we knew very little about, so why did we not do this sooner is a mystery.. A couple more brekkie haunts to add to the list and as we drive to work the simplicity of people watching on the train is always fun.

I got through 2 of the things from my list yesterday. The upside is I nabbed lots of bargains and have quite a few wardrobe staples to add to the rotation.

The engagement turned into a big night out so most of today was spent in bed and then on the couch. Whilst in pure procrastination mode I joined Pinterest. Seriously addictive time sucker.
