The weekend consisted of more painting.

The lounge room is finished but as it goes, one thing leads to another and now JD's stripping years of dodgey paint jobs off the french doors and we're now painting the entry. New glass is being cut for the doors and I'm painting the beading, a very tedious job but it will look great when its finished. In the meanwhile the lounge room is still in the dining room. The good news is now, we can get a new sofa. Sorry no pics for now.

It's frrreeeeeezing cold!

The joys of living in an older style house means no central heating. I can't sleep. My nose is cold. This can be easily fix by taking some sharp scissors to a beanie.. somehow I don't think it will go down too well if JD woke next to me balaclava and all.
The one room in the house with heating (the lounge room) we have vacated as I am currently painting. I did start a couple weeks ago, one wall at a time each day after work, nudging the furniture, tugging the drop sheet around. JD found my half arse process excruciating. Enough was enough, today he moved the lounge room into the dining room (the dining room is the spare room) Comedic, yeh i know.

JD and I spent the day celebrating with our mothers : a big breakfast : a football game (with mother & son one eyed Essendon supporters) : and a cosy family dinner with my mum and gran. A very happy Mothers Day to all you mothers out there!

Hello folks,

Hope you all had a nice and relaxing Easter break? Thankfully due to the shorten weeks I've had a chance to recover from my sugar induced coma and now in a somewhat more productive state.

Oh with exception to being fixated to the TV to watch the royal wedding on Friday night, now it's back to pulling on the paint overalls and into the lounge room.
